... So why am I up? I guess I could blame it on the recent time change. I was hopeful that it was going to go smoothly. The day of the time change Elean hadn't taken very long naps so she was tired earlier than usual. I decided to take advantage and start the bed time routine earlier. My plan backfired. Sure she went to sleep about an hour earlier but, she woke up at about 1 AM and was up for three hours. That coupled with the fact that I was just starting to drift off to sleep when she woke up made for a literally sleepless night. Now I'm not complaining, because I consider myself lucky in the sleep department, never really losing out on that much sleep since she was born. I mean every one warns you so much about the loss of sleep, so I expected it to be worse that it has been, but the day after the time change I was so exhausted. Tom started to laugh at how I just sat there staring off into the distance, with a glazed look on my face and my mouth wide open. He literally said to Keira "look what you did to Mommy" then laughed. Luckily he took care of her in the afternoon while I took a nap. Last night I decided to split the difference and instead of putting her to bed a hour earlier, we started 30 minutes earlier. She slept really well, I was able to sneak away and do other things. She woke up a few times and I went in to nurse her but she fell asleep quickly. So at about 10 PM I decided to join her and not stay up late again, But at 1 AM she was up. I mean she was up, like GOOD MORNING MOMMY, LETS PLAY! She was all smiley and babbling. OMG the babbling...it's sooo cute my ovaries explode* every time she does it. So she was up again for three hours. Tonight she refused to go to sleep until about 9 PM so she didn't wake up THANK GOD, but I did! Oh well. It gives me some quiet time to post.
She's almost crawling now, she sort of gets up on all fours and launches herself forward to get where she wants to go. Or she rolls over and over. It's funny. She is also trying to sit up, she sort of leans on one hand. She always wants to be anywhere other than the place she is. She tries to squirm away, it makes dressing her interesting. You basically have to wrassel her into her clothes. She's also discovered how to undo her diapers. I am so grateful for Velcro technology. I remember the old diapers once you unfastened them they were done, what a pain in bum that must have been. She also likes to hang out in the jumper a lot. She'll jump and jump and get herself twisted up and then pick her feet up and go for a spin. And did I mention the babbling, the ma ma ma ma's and ba ba ba ba's and the utter gibberish and the pitching of her voice loud and then into a breathy whisper, like hey Mommy pay close attention to what I am saying because it's the secret to the universe.
Apparently the secret to the universe is

Baby Air Guitar
srsly

Commence ovary explosion
